Eczema

I have an eczema problem on my feet that has been with me for the past 7 years. It started when I was expecting Kyla and the doctor attributed it to the hormones changes. But it did not go away when Kyla was born. It just come and go as it pleases. I was practically surviving on steriod cream for the past years just to lessen the problem.

So I went to see a famous TCM doctor who told me that I must be allergic to seafood and chilli. So I avoided seafood and chilli for a while. But the condition did not improve. Then another doc recommended a strong moisturizer saying that the condition was due to the dry skin. But again the eczema flared up once I stopped applying steriod cream on the affected area. Finally after 7 years, I had found out the cause of the eczema. I am allergic to washing powder and washing liquid. Thanks to a GP who diagnosed the cause and told me that the condition will improve if there is no contact with the washing powder or washing liquid. I was doubtful at first. Then we went on a family holiday for 5 days at bintan. And as I did not touch any washing powder or liquid during the period, the eczema really improved and all the scars were healing nicely. So once I was back, I needed to find out ways to avoid any skin contact with the washing powder or liquid… I tried using plastic bags to cover my feet when I need to wash the toilets but the soapy water still went in. Finally, I decided to use bath liquid to wash the toilets. Expensive I know but so far so good. The eczema does come back once in a while but at least I don’t scratch till the feet looked disfigured. I am keeping my fingers crossed that I will be free from this horrible skin disorder very soon.
